Finding a storage facility is not difficult, but first shop around! There can be a big difference in rates and many facilities may add hidden fees. Ask if insurance is required, its monthly cost, and how often rates are increased. Ask about discounts, introductory specials or discounts for paying for long-term storage in advance.
Know your storage needs. Estimate how much space you will require. Feel free to use our self storage calculator to help you. Or our staff can recommend the size unit you may need. We are happy to show you units so you can compare sizes in making your decision.
Usually dry storage units are suitable for most household goods, unless you have something extremely sensitive to a little atmospheric moisture, cold or heat. Then you might consider climate control. Climate control, however, may be considerably more expensive.
All storage facilities should have secure units, but additional security can include fencing, good lighting, surveillance cameras, and the presence of a resident manager.
How often will you need to access the unit? Do you need it mainly during the day?
Many people prefer to be able to drive up to their units where they can unload witht the least amount of effort.
Remember--there's a storage solution for every situation!
